Explicit cell phone video leads to sexual abuse arrest | News
LAWERENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- A Lawrence County man is
behind bars for allegedly sexually abusing a young child.
Sheriff Gene Mitchell said
officials were given a cell phone video from the victim's family. The video
depicted illegal acts.
Officials questioned the
suspect, Jonathan Gillespie, and he confessed.
Gillespie was already
registered as a sex offender for a 2007 rape.
He was arrested and charged
with sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old, sexual abuse, sodomy and permitting
a child to engage in pornography.
