Lawrence County High placed on lockdown

Lawrence County High School was put on a "soft" lock down after a student received a threatening text message.

Principal Jean Howard said the threat was great enough that they put the school in a soft lock down just after 8 a.m.

Sheriff's deputies and Moulton Police responded to the school and were stationed at the exits.

Classes were held normally, but no one was allowed to exit and no one could enter without a good reason for being there.

18-year-old Mason Stillwell was arrested sometime around noon on County Road 221. Howard said he was a former student. He was charged with making a terrorist threat.
