Citizen tip leads to arrest of car burglary suspect | Crime

Lawrence County deputies arrested a man for allegedly stealing a purse out of a car.

Investigators said Christopher Sapp was caught on surveillance tape breaking into a vehicle September 12.

Deputies said the tape showed Sapp breaking into the car and stealing a purse at a Chevron on Highway 24.

Investigators said a tip from citizen’s led to his arrest after the tape was shown on the news.

Sapp was arrested and charged with breaking and entering a vehicle and theft.
